HR Coordinator
Job Description
Summary
Under limited supervision, utilizing established policies, procedures, and customary practices, an HR Coordinator performs a variety of general HR duties and supports members of Human Resources, primarily the North American HR Client Engagement team, including HR Business Partners for assigned client groups.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Ensures accurate data management and reporting in HR systems.
- Processes HR transactions via PeopleSoft, including employee changes, new hires, and terminations.
- Acts as an expert and owner of PeopleSoft data and processes; reviews and works with HR team members to resolve identified data audit issues and actively participates in process improvements for data management and other HR-related initiatives.
- Coordinates with other HR team members to provide overall client support and service to assigned groups in the form of resolution of administrative or routine payroll, compensation, or benefit-related questions and issues.
- Maintains employee data in PeopleSoft and manages process for completion of accurate and up-to-date personnel files.
- Organizes and maintains physical employee files in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepares reports and PeopleSoft queries for internal business partners; engages the HR Technology and Integration team to create custom reports, as needed.
- Provides support to the requisition and approval processes via Taleo and assists with the hiring process by executing pre-hire requirements, including background checks and pre-hire paperwork.
- Processes HR invoices and employee referral bonuses
- Provides administrative support and reporting as required to support the business, as well as during the overall talent processes, including goal setting, development reviews, talent reviews, performance reviews and year end compensation reviews.
- Provides administrative support for the New Employee Orientation and other related on-boarding processes.
- Triages employee and manager inquiries and routes to the appropriate HR team member
- Assists other HR team members in the execution of department-specific projects.
- Other duties as assigned (will include support with HR, event planning, and other general office management duties)
- 2+ years of directly related HR experience in a customer/client focused role.
- Demonstrates a well-developed appreciation and understanding of the dynamics of a corporate/office environment.
- General knowledge of HR best practices and employment law is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and expert skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
- Expert skills in PeopleSoft and Taleo, or equivalent HR systems, are required.
- Strong team player; thrives in a collaborative work environment, including cross-training and shared email inboxes.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Open minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people's opinions.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate over the phone with a variety of individuals at all technical levels are required.
- Very strong organizational/prioritization/time management skills

- Bachelor's degree preferred and 2+ years of directly related HR experience in a client-focused environment required.
