Job Description

Our client, a large telecommunications company, is seeking an experienced Talent Selection Analyst for a 12+ month contract role in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is hybrid with 2 days in office and 3 days remote. 

Job Summary
 This position requires an Industrial/Organizational Psychology education with proven research and analytical skills. This position requires an ability to work on many different levels – from assisting with ROI studies, to analyzing data to tell a story about selection tool utility, and to supporting selection system and HR technology implementations.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Assist in developing employee selection tools requiring content validation, such as interviews and job simulations
  • Support project team on validation and implementation of large scale employee selection systems and tools
  • Contribute to project team by gathering and analyzing data concerning selection tools and assessments and their use and utility
  • Leverage applied research of selection processes to improve hire quality, defensibility, efficiency and experience for candidates, hiring managers and recruiters
  • Provide day-to-day support of selection tool use in the company
  • Ensure assessment configurations are correct, up-to-date and clearly documented for intended jobs
  • Ensure assessment solutions, policies, guidelines and advice are consistent with our client's values and policies and with legal and professional standards
  • Assist with projects and vendors to meet timelines and internal customer needs efficiently
  • Partner with colleagues from other functional areas, such as Organizational Development and HR
  • Technology, to collaborate on cross-functional projects or obtain data/resources
  • Perform other duties
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Judgment and perspective to balance human capital management strategies with solid business principles
  • Execution-focus and results orientation with the ability to translate strategy and complex thinking, breaking it into specific, understandable goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with, and influence diverse sets of stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Proven abilities in client management and vendor management
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, superior analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding, coupled with pragmatic application of research design and measurement principles and of regulatory and professional guidelines for selection and assessment
  • Skilled at interpreting statistical results commonly used in selection research
  • Comfortable using Excel or Access and demonstrated ability to learn SPSS or similar statistical package for data manipulation and analyses
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Studies, or Psychology or a closely related field
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
  • 2+ years of experience developing, validating and implementing selection assessments
  • 2+ years of experience developing and implementing selection tools
  • 2+ years of experience in conducting applied research projects
Preferred Education
  • Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a closely related field
Pay Rate- $31.33+ per hour
