Job Description

Our client, a fast-growing and innovative Marketing Services firm headquartered in Midtown Atlanta is hiring a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join their growing team.
  • Full-time, direct hire role
  • Hybrid work arrangement (most days remote with 1-2 days onsite)

This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the strategic financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and proven expertise in managing financial systems, specifically with a deep understanding of QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
QuickBooks Expertise:
  • Serve as the primary expert and administrator for QuickBooks, ensuring optimal utilization, data accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Oversee all data entry, reconciliation, and reporting within QuickBooks.
  • Implement and optimize QuickBooks features to streamline financial processes.
  • Provide training and support to other team members on QuickBooks usage as needed.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with department heads to manage expenditures and optimize resource allocation.
Tax & Compliance:
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors for timely and accurate tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax requirements.
  • Manage and oversee all necessary financial audits.
Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
Strategic Support:
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team to support business growth and profitability.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives and contribute to long-term financial objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in senior accounting role.
  • Demonstrable expert-level proficiency with QuickBooks is essential. Please highlight your specific experience and achievements with QuickBooks in your application.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and present clear, concise reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a B2B services company, particularly in marketing, PR, or a similar industry, is a plus.

Salary Range: $90k-$110k. Final determination of salary will be based on an evaluation of experience, education, budget, etc.
