This role will work remotely, but candidates must reside in greater Orlando to allow for in-person meetings and collaboration. Washington D.C. is a secondary location option.

Overview
Own Financial Operations with Excellence:
- Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Optimize financial workflows and establish best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
- Guide smart payoff strategies, restructuring advice, and financial decisions that keep operations stable.
- Manage and optimize cash flow so company remains profitable using modern tools to provide clear, real-time financial insight.
Ensure Compliance & Accuracy in Government Contracts:
- Oversee DCAA compliance, indirect rates, and incurred cost submissions.
- Support audits and financial reporting related to government contracts.
- Implement and monitor controls to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Drive Payroll & Tax Compliance:
- Manage Paychex payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Handle payroll tax filings, compliance, and reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and ensure company compliance.
Utilize Top Accounting & Payroll Software:
- Leverage QuickBooks Online Pro for financial management and reporting.
- Ensure seamless integration between accounting, payroll, and government compliance platforms.
- Stay ahead of industry technology to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Provide Strategic Financial Insights:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow, revenue trends, and expenses to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Offer recommendations that improve financial efficiency and profitability.
- Helps forecast revenue, model growth scenarios, and structure pricing, expenses, and cash flow for long-term scalability.
- Analyzes profitability to show what’s working, what’s draining resources, and how to improve margins and pricing.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- Any experience in government contracting, indirect rates, and DCAA compliance is preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Pro required. Knowledge in payroll software such as Paychex, ADP, or similar.
- Unmatched Attention to Detail: You thrive in the numbers, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Regulatory & Compliance Know-How: Strong understanding of tax regulations, financial reporting, and DCAA compliance.
- A Problem-Solving Mindset: You do not just report numbers, you analyze them, uncover trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
Note - You must reside in Orlando, FL, or Washington, DC to allow for in-person meetings.
Salary $90k+ depending on combination of experience, education, and overall credentials.
