The Associate Design Director is responsible for leading creative development for brand sponsorships and experiential engagements for the company. They’ll be working in conjunction with both internal partners and external agencies to amplify brand impression through a wide variety of events that hosted in partnership with NASDAQ, NCAA, Wine + Food sponsorships, etc. Primary projects are centered on the ideation of the physical space: structure design, footprint, decor, etc. Secondary deliverables are videos followed by social media, paid media, website assets and some print. The Associate Design Director will report to the Associate Creative Director (NA + EMEA). The ADD will also work with a small team of Art Directors and designers and external agency support.
Primary responsibilities:
• Oversee visual identity/brand systems across various channels: events + experiences, editorial, digital, social, video, 360-degree campaigns, paid media, packaging + client gifting.
• Collaborate with marketing partners, agencies, and the design team to develop strategic design solutions that elevate and evolve the brand.
• Demonstrate strong presentation skills, effectively communicating concepts and programs to various stakeholders (including senior leadership) within the firm.
• Partner closely with our Digital Design and UX team (Digital Marketing) to support and promote digital-first thinking and activation.
• Possess a deep understanding of and appreciation for the role of Data & Analytics and strategy in supporting design thinking.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Requirements:
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in a brand or agency, with a strong focus on 360-degree campaigns tied to experiences and brand sponsorships. Experience in working for large global brands, financial/asset management experience is a bonus.
• Strong creative thinking and the ability to innovate while adhering to brand guidelines and considering cultural nuances.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective work with diverse teams and stakeholders. Experience in presenting to leadership.
• Cultural sensitivity and a passion for understanding global audiences.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Problem-solving skills for creatively addressing cultural challenges.
• Strong organizational skills for efficient management of complex projects.
• Adaptability to evolving brand strategies and industry trends.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design.
• Experience in leading a small team of creatives and/or agencies.
• Working hours are generally 40/week. This is subject to shift depending on project cycles.
The Department:
The Creative team is an agile group of art directors, designers, and photo editors that work on 360-campaigns across all marketing touchpoints. We’re responsible for how the brand visual identity is expressed across the firm, acting as brand ambassadors / advocates. We’re a small cross-regional, collaborative, and hands on team. We also collaborate closely with various other teams across the organization: brand, digital, social, production, multimedia, etc. We’re passionate about design + photography and are always looking to evolve and elevate our craft. We just launched a new paid media visual identity. This role would be primarily working on company content in North America.
Pay Rate- $78.00 - $80.00/hour
