Benefits Specialist Consultant
Job Description
Our client, a diversified financial services company providing banking and investing services, is seeking a Benefits Specialist Consultant for a 6+ month contract role located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a hybrid role with 4 days a week in office.
The Benefits Specialist Consultant is responsible for the assessing, benchmarking and communication of the organization's benefits programs. This job provides guidance to company leadership, stakeholders and associates on a consulting basis, provides breadth and depth of functional expertise, oversight and support for Benefits planning, analysis, solution development and presentation. This role is both strategic and tactical with the ability to set the stage for the direction of the benefits initiative and ensure the work required is carried out at the task level. This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Reviews benefit program designs including but not limited to health and wellness, leave management, and tuition reimbursement, ensuring the new programs meet both internal equity standards and external market competitiveness.
- Oversees implementation of new benefits programs and the administration of current benefits programs to ensure employees have timely access to and relevant information on available benefit offerings.
- Provides expertise to engagement teams in leading the identification, understanding and framing of complex benefits problems.
- Supervises planning, analysis, solution development or presentation for the most complex or sensitive benefits engagement components.
- Mentors, coaches and educates senior consultants regarding advanced benefits consulting knowledge, services, practices and techniques.
- Identifies, recommends and guides development of advanced benefits consulting services, practices and techniques.
- Conduct benefits analysis and benchmarking to identify and recommend improvements.
- Manages preparation for annual enrollment as well as provides ongoing guidance and oversight for the annual enrollment process including assisting with other employee questions, testing and review of enrollment websites and materials, etc.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and others.
- Ensure the accuracy of records and documentation of client interactions and benefits plans and deductions.
- Responsible for consulting on leave administration processes, ensuring responses and documentation are timely, accurate and compliant with policies and regulations.
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred
Pay Rate- $53.57 -$ 60.18/ hour
