Job Description


Our client, an innovative and growing company consistently described as a great place to work (i.e., interesting work, friendly work environment, good work-life balance) designs, manufactures, and services capital equipment for the semiconductor manufacturing industry worldwide. They are looking for a highly qualified AR Specialist who is eager to help them achieve their ambitious business goals.

Reporting to the Sr. AR Manager, the Specialist will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accuracy, and collaborating with various teams.  This is a great opportunity to join a team that works together and gets stuff done. You will be able to bring ideas to the table for process improvements to help the transactional accounting team move forward and be ready for substantial company growth.

You will provide day-to-day guidance on transactions and processes to teams across the organization including Sales, Customer Service and Transportation Management. You will be responsible for researching and clearing billing blocks and troubleshooting other related activities.

This is a fully remote temp-to-perm position.

Key responsibilities:
  • Process Customer Receipts:
  • Apply daily customer payments to AR accounts accurately and efficiently
  • Handle various forms of payment including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments
  • Accounts Reconciliation:
  • Reconcile discrepancies between payment and invoice amounts
  • Resolve any issues related to unapplied or misapplied payments
  • Collections
  • Manage the collections process, including contacting customers to resolve overdue accounts.
  • Maintain detailed records of collection activities and customer communications.
 
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all cash application transactions
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or combination of education, training, and experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar cash application or accounts receivable role
  • Well-rounded understanding of the accounts receivable process
  • Ability to navigate, explore and extract data from various retailer portals
  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables and LOOKUP functions)
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to prepare and deliver information to team members as well as management
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on other tasks as assigned
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to identify issues, perform research and present possible solutions
  • The ability to establish good working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers

After the temp period, base salary will be in the range of $55,000 – $65,000. Final determination of salary will be based on an evaluation of experience, education, budget, etc.
