Chief Investment Strategist
Job Description
The Opportunity
As the Chief Investment Strategist, you will play a critical role in four primary functions.
1. Setting the strategic vision, and direction for the investment team/function. This would include sharing analysis of macroeconomic factors, global market trends, and geopolitical developments to inform investment strategies/asset allocation/tactical shift or recommendations. This would also include the development, articulation, and promulgation of the firm’s investment philosophy. Opportunity to lead a great team.
2. Developing new tools and solutions for families and 3rd parties. This would include key priorities such as overseeing investment-related thought leadership/content, the optimization of investment-focused tech stack, to structural solutions that will expedite the growth of the business (e.g., registration of the Access LPs) or leveraging the platforms of other firms (e.g., Cambridge, Albourne, StepStone, Hamilton Lane, etc.) Opportunity to scale more rapidly and drive profitability.
3. Serving as the public face of the investment function for the firm. This would include presenting views on portfolios and markets to the media, at conferences, and other client-facing events, as well as in key 1-on-1 client interactions. Opportunity to build a broader funnel and grow the community.
4. Using investment engine to drive business outcomes. This may include helping engage new clients or expanding mandates with existing clients, developing B2B offering where others can leverage the ecosystem, building a private markets robo-solution via Access LPs, and supporting M&A or franchising opportunities. This may also involve restructuring some elements of the investment team, and potentially aligning the investment team’s compensation with long-term investment performance.  Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree and qualifications (CFA or CIM) strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in investment strategy, asset allocation, or related roles within the financial industry.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, economic indicators, asset classes, and investment vehicles.
- Exceptional analytical abilities with a demonstrated track record of conducting in-depth research, interpreting data, and generating actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner to both internal and external audiences.
- Proven ability to provide innovative and forward-thinking investment perspectives, contributing to the firm's thought leadership initiatives.
- A client-centric mindset with the ability to understand and meet the investment objectives and preferences of a diverse range of clients.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively and lead within a team environment, fostering relationships and driving collective success.Â
