Job Description
Area of Responsibility:Â Finance and Operations
- Support the Finance and Operations staff teams, including the Director of Finance and Administration, Human Resources/Payroll Manager, Director of Operations, and Building Engineer.
- Distribute monthly department/ministry financial reports.
- Assist with the organization and archiving of records and documents in accordance with record retention policy.
- Generate and mail quarterly pledge statements and year-end contribution tax statements for contributors.
- Respond to members' contribution inquiries.
- Interface with members seeking assistance with church administration, including access to login credentials and use of the campus.
- Manage certain communications, including meeting agendas and calendar invitations for Finance and Property Committees.
- Plan for and coordinate meetings and corresponding materials as requested.
- Assist with populating and maintaining the church calendar and ensuring that events are executed as planned.
- Assist with planning for annual emergency procedures training and communication thereof to staff.
- Assist with preparing church-wide mailings.
- Order and procure supplies.
- Prepare check requests.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Work closely with Senior Pastor and Director of Finance & Administration to ensure timely and accurate communication of giving records, pledge acknowledgments, and letters related to memorial gifts.
- Assist with mailings related to Commitment Campaigns and other giving.
- Manage annual Commitment calendar.
- Create reports from church database to monitor giving data and trends, including regular reports of progress during the annual Commitment Campaign.
- Assist with ongoing maintenance of accurate records in the church database, including updates to member contact information, group affiliations, and membership status. Maintain and update church rolls.
- Prepare monthly statistical report from database for Session meeting.
- Attend committee meetings as requested.
- Provide back-up support to administrative staff as needed.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and Session committee meetings as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Self-motivation, professional demeanor and presence, and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfort and facility with people; ability to interact respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Discretion, good judgment, and the maintenance of strict confidentiality.
- Positivity, creativity, and excitement for the work at hand and the team dynamic of the staff.
- Facility with all Microsoft Office applications and Zoom.
- Proficiency with Constant Contact, and ACS or other database platforms preferred.
- Ability and willingness to learn and develop skill with church database.
Base Salary $50,000-$58,000. Final determination of salary will be based on an evaluation of experience, education, budget, etc.
