Job Description
Overview:
Responsible for accounting operations with a focus on supporting the different divisions of the organization. The focus includes GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, general ledger, financial analysis, inventory, fixed assets, and special projects. Reports to Senior Director of Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Create financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
- Manage annual budgeting process for Center Services division
- Prepare monthly budget analysis and financial reports for Center Services division
- Consolidate and analyze divisional financial reporting
- Prepare capital project budget reports
- Support financial managers across the Arts Center with budgeting
- Assist in preparation of audits for the organization’s financials statements and benefit plans
- Create and maintain internal controls and policies
- Prepare annual charitable solicitation registration filing
- Execute and analyze monthly shared services allocation
- Manage and maintain accounting structure within financial system
- Accomplish additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications/Skills:
- Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Skilled in supervisory management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Master’s preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in public or private accounting
- CPA preferred
- Workday experience preferred
- Supervisory experience (no direct reports, but supervising/organizing work)
Salary: $115-130k/yr. Final determination of salary will be based on an evaluation of experience, education, budget, etc.
