Director of Financial Planning & Analysis
Job Description
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for providing financial, analytical, and operational support to both headquarters’ leadership and international onsite management. Leading a team of 2-3 Financial Analysts, this role will oversee the development of budgets, own the development of forecasts, utilize financial planning & analysis software to analyze financial data and identify trends, and support operational processes through the management of KPI metrics & financial models.
Position overview:
- Maintain and update existing reports on a weekly, monthly and term basis.
- Develop and maintain KPI metrics and reporting across the organization.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of international costs, business strategy, budget model, and processes.
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Support accounting month end processes.
- Updating and analyzing budget and actual data from multiple sources.
- Audit and validate data from multiple sources.
- Perform actual to budget variance analysis and historical trend analysis.
- Create new and update existing financial models that drive revenue and profitability domestically and internationally.
- Assist in implementing process efficiencies across the organization.
- Ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision making.
- Lead the organization to improved profitability.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in required. Degree focus in an Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field strongly preferred.
- CPA/MBA preferred.
- M&A experience strongly preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in a progressive financial planning and analyst role.
- Experience developing reporting/forecasting in a private equity environment strongly preferred.
- Advanced Proficiency with MS Excel.
- Must have strong accounting, analysis, and research skills.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (Net Suite, Great Plains beneficial).
- Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and timelines and to shift priorities quickly.
- Must demonstrate a high level of organizational and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Base Salary: $165,000-$175,000. Final determination of salary will be based on an evaluation of experience, education, budget, etc.
