Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimating Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. This role will be fully on-site and located in the south Charlotte area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to read and interpret construction blueprints. Familiarity with Procore software is a plus. This role will involve collaborating with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate and efficient project estimates and bid proposals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify magnitude and scope of work to be performed
- Utilize Procore, Excel, Bluebeam, and Edge software to perform takeoffs and manage project data and documentation effectively.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers if needed to obtain pricing and verify quantities.
- Conduct site visits and or attend prebid meetings as needed, to assess project conditions and gather necessary data for estimates.
- Prepare detailed reports, submittals, and shop drawings for management and customer review.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure competitive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers to relay project requirements and objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 2-4+ years of experience in estimating within the construction industry, with a focus on fireproofing ideal.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications.
- Strong technical skills with ability to quickly pick up new systems/software: MS Office, Procore or similar project management software is preferred, Bluebeam and Estimating Edge or similar construction estimating software is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects with a focus on the customer.
