Job Description

Our client, a leading independent investment management firm, is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 6+ month contract in either Atlanta, GA or New York, NY. This role is hybrid, onsite 4 days per week. 
 
Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to defined scope, schedule, and budget. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery of project objectives aligned with organizational goals. The Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact for all project-related activities and communications, driving collaboration among stakeholders and maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Lead project execution by coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to deliver project milestones on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation or corrective actions as needed.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational project management standards, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and quality assurance processes.
  • Manage change requests through formal change control processes, assessing impact and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, resolving conflicts and promoting effective communication among project participants.
  • Track and manage project documentation, including charters, schedules, risk logs, issue logs, and lessons learned.
  • Support post-project evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives by capturing and sharing best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and organizational policies relevant to the project.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably within asset management and product.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing medium to large-scale projects from initiation through closure.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to anticipate and address project challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of risk management and change control processes.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work collaboratively in a matrixed organization.
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based with potential for remote work or travel as required by project needs.
  • May require occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
Pay Rate- $77.71- $79.71/hour
