Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to defined scope, schedule, and budget. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery of project objectives aligned with organizational goals. The Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact for all project-related activities and communications, driving collaboration among stakeholders and maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Lead project execution by coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to deliver project milestones on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation or corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Ensure adherence to organizational project management standards, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and quality assurance processes.
- Manage change requests through formal change control processes, assessing impact and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, resolving conflicts and promoting effective communication among project participants.
- Track and manage project documentation, including charters, schedules, risk logs, issue logs, and lessons learned.
- Support post-project evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives by capturing and sharing best practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and organizational policies relevant to the project.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably within asset management and product.
- Proven track record of successfully managing medium to large-scale projects from initiation through closure.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to anticipate and address project challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of risk management and change control processes.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work collaboratively in a matrixed organization.
- Office-based with potential for remote work or travel as required by project needs.
- May require occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
