Job Description

Our client, a leader in the power sports industry, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst for a 6 month contract assignment in Plymouth, MN. This role is hybrid, typically onsite Tuesday-Thursday.

Job Summary:
The Global Sourcing Finance Analyst will support the Operations Finance team with recurring month-end close, materials reporting, forecasting, and department expense processes. This role will be responsible for accurate and timely preparation of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and inventory revaluation journal entries, consolidation of materials actuals, PPV forecast coordination, loading of forecasts to OS, and ownership of Global Sourcing department expense actuals and forecast reporting.

This role is intended to provide reliable execution support for recurring finance processes while partnering with Operations Finance and Global Sourcing stakeholders to ensure reporting is complete, consistent, and deadline-driven. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working independently, and experienced in finance, accounting, and month-end reporting processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and book monthly Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and inventory revaluation journal entries, including related support, review, and reconciliation.
  • Consolidate and report monthly materials actuals, primarily PPV, while also incorporating tariffs, finished goods variance (FGV), inventory revaluation, and other related materials cost drivers.
  • Coordinate PPV forecast inputs, consolidate forecast updates, and load approved forecast data in accordance with the monthly forecasting calendar.
  • Own Global Sourcing organization department expense actuals, variance analysis, forecast updates, and recurring reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare recurring month-end reporting packages and supporting schedules for Operations Finance and Global Sourcing leadership.
  • Partner with finance and sourcing stakeholders to gather inputs, validate results, explain variances, and resolve data or reporting questions.
  • Maintain process documentation, standard work, and supporting files to ensure recurring activities can be completed accurately and consistently.
  • Support additional related month-end close, reporting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis activities as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, operations finance, cost accounting, or related analytical roles preferred.
  • Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and recurring financial reporting required.
  • Strong Excel skills required, including ability to work with large data sets, summarize financial results, and maintain recurring reporting files.
  • Experience with forecasting systems, ERP systems, and reporting tools preferred; OneStream experience a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet recurring deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with finance and business partners, ask effective follow-up questions, and document assumptions or process steps.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with recurring deliverables, shifting priorities, and confidential financial information.

Pay Rate- $30.00- $35.00/hour
