Job Description
The Fund Accountant is a member of the Stable Value Operations Team. Daily responsibilities require performing moderately complex fund accounting for collective funds and institutional portfolios, calculating net asset values, and providing daily pricing to record keepers and other intermediaries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Calculating daily stable value net asset values.
- Reconciling investment activity, positions, and rates with outside parties.
- Monitoring portfolio metrics and compliance requirements to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Preparing financial reports for clients and auditors.
- Preparing financial statements for collective funds and separately managed accounts and providing support to our clients and auditors.
- Occasional researching of accounting guidance and interpreting changes.
- Documenting existing processes and assisting with process improvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 3+ years Accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel proficiency required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree or certification (i.e., CPA, MBA, or CFA).
- Stable Value or Fixed Income Investments experience.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Portfolio Accounting, Fixed Income Securities, and/or Trade Settlement Operations; and role of systems supporting these functions; and the role of outside participant record keepers.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of the nature of Collective or Mutual Fund processes.
Base Salary $85,000-$95,000. Bonus eligible. Final determination of salary will be based on an evaluation of experience, education, budget, etc. Â
