Job Description

Our client, a leader in the power sports industry, is seeking an experience IT Support Specialist for a 6+ month contract assignment in Rigby, ID.   


JOB SUMMARY

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users within the Teton Outfitters organization, including the KLIM and 509 brands. This includes resolving hardware and software issues, troubleshooting network problems, ensuring that IT systems are running smoothly, and helping to facilitate IT processes including ticket management, contract management, system change management, and others.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
End-User Support
  • Provide prompt and courteous technical support to end-users, both in person and remotely.
  • Assist users with hardware and software problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
Hardware and Software Maintenance
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware failures, coordinating with vendors when necessary.
Network Support
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Assist with setting up and configuring network devices, such as routers, switches, and access points.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to resolve network-related problems.
  • User Training and Documentation:
  • Create user guides and documentation to help end-users navigate common IT issues.
  • Conduct training sessions or workshops to enhance end-users' technical skills.
Security and Compliance
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies.
  • Participate in data backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Stay informed about security threats and help mitigate potential risks.
Inventory Management
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, including tracking and managing assets.
  • Assist in procurement and disposal of hardware and software resources.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to resolve technical issues and meet organizational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users, providing clear instructions and updates.
Admin and Other
  • Use and update the IT ticketing system, ensuring that tickets are managed and maintained in accordance with IT standards.
  • Assist with general IT admin duties including supporting the Project Management Office with document management and implementation of IT processes.
  • Any other duties, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS      
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in IT support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows and macOS) and common business applications.
  • Good understanding of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.
Pay Rate: $23.00-$25.00/ hour
