Instructional Designer

Job Description

Our client, a leader in the power sports industry, is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer for a 6+ month contract assignment in Plymouth, Minnesota. This position is hybrid with 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.  

Job Summary:
Strengthen the global dealer network by developing engaging online training courses for all roles within the company.  Curriculum includes Service Technician Certification, Sales, Customer Experience, and Operations.  Provide administrative support for quality assurance / final testing, course uploads, and user troubleshooting. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Design, eLearning Course Development, and Implementation
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to analyze training needs and define program objectives
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to acquire necessary information and supporting materials for course development
  • Create and maintain interactive and engaging eLearning courses
  • Structure courses to integrate seamlessly with software and LMS
  • Complete final Quality Assurance testing on brand standards, grammar, and functionality
 
LMS Support
  • Upload SCORM packages and supporting course detail to the LMS
  • Research and resolve LMS access, transcript status, and other inquiries
  • Provide direct correspondence and support for user email requests, responding in a professional and timely manner
 
Project Management
  • Successfully bring deliverables in on time and within budget
  • Influence without authority to keep projects on track and on brand
  • Ensure all deliverables meet a consistently high standard

Skills, Knowledge, & Experience:
  • ?1+ years of experience developing technical online learning courses for a global audience
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Consider global perspectives when developing training
  • Manage competing priorities via regular task switching to meet goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of the following software:
  • Articulate Storyline 2 and 360, including Rise
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Share Point
  • Adobe Creative Cloud including: Captivate, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Premier and Audition
  • Working knowledge of adult learning theories, ADDIE project management methodology, and instructional design best practices
  • LMS experience, Latitude Learning a plus
Pay Rate- $36-$38.73/hour
