International Tax Manager

What you will do…
International Tax Strategy & Compliance
- Lead international tax planning projects from ideation to execution.
- Review and ensure accuracy of international tax filings and disclosures.
- Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the U.S. tax implications of their international operations.
- Provide leadership to and ownership of the international income tax compliance work to minimize processing time and reduce costs.
- Assist in driving efficiencies in the international tax and tax provision processes.
- Monitor legislative changes and determine any impact to clients from a tax and tax provision perspective.
- Advise on FIRPTA transactions, Section 1446 withholding for partnerships, and estates and trusts with foreign beneficiaries.
- Identify issues associated with all types of intercompany transactions.
- Identify and resolve complex international tax issues for U.S. and foreign multinational clients.
- Conduct in-depth tax research and develop innovative planning strategies.
- Interact with clients and their advisors, as well as international advisors from our affiliated networks.
- Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise and mentor tax professionals on engagements.
- Champion best practices to reduce compliance costs and improve turnaround time.
- Provide training to staff on international tax research and compliance matters.
- Participate in various proposals and business development efforts for the International Tax Segment.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification required to contact the IRS on behalf of clients.
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on international tax.
- Proven experience managing teams and leading client engagements.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. international tax regulations (e.g., CFC, FDAP, Treaty research).
- In addition to international tax expertise, a solid foundation in U.S. domestic tax compliance is highly encouraged. This includes experience in preparing full corporate (1120), partnership (1065), and S corporation (1120-S) tax returns.
- Familiarity with tax compliance software (CCH Axcess and Engagement), data analytics tools, and ability to leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance tax research, streamline compliance processes, and deliver more insightful client service. is a plus.
- Excellent communication, project management, and client service skills.
