Investment Accountant
Job Description
Key responsibilities include --
Investments:
- Track rent payments for rental properties
- Maintenance of subscription documents
- Annual Valuation Testing
- Reconciliation of investment platform (Addepar) to internal documents, completed quarterly, semi-annually, and annually
- Reconciliation of reports to underlying support
- Conduct variance analysis on quarterly and annual financial statements
- Prepare necessary schedules and reports
- Perform review of returns
- Facilitate timely estimation of quarterly payments
- Collect employee hours and submit to payroll processing vendor (TriNet)
- Post payroll journal entries
- Manage expense approvals and reimbursements
- Calculate imputed income and related taxes
- Remittance of 401(K) contributions
- Preparation and review of 5500 schedules/workpapers and compliance reports
- Monthly and annual billing for entity management services
- Annual Reports
- 1099s
- Maintain insurance and related payments, reporting, renewals
Key Requirements, Technical Skills, Competencies --
- 4-year degree in Accounting is required.
- Must have proven experience in investment accounting.
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting within Investments, Family Office, and/or Private Foundation is strongly preferred.
- Solid technology proficiency with:
- Proficiency with MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint is required.
- QuickBooks Online (or similar) proficiency is required.
- Addepar investment tracking platform proficiency strongly preferred.
- Expensify expense reimbursement software proficiency preferred but not required.
