Licensing Manager
Job Description
Day to Day:
- Oversee the execution of business and product licensing for new and existing stores to ensure deadlines are met and all stores and team members are licensed with the proper state and local agencies an in full compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and train staff to ensure individual professional development and department success.
- Partner with internal and external business partners to research, develop, and implement procedures that promote the Company’s continued compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Perform business critical and time sensitive research of federal, state, and local statues and regulations to determine license and permit requirements. Analyze and create course of action designed to promote adherence with new and existing laws and regulations.
- Administer day-to-day activities to ensure department operates in accordance with company policies. (this includes approving check requests, monitoring Kronos, coordinating team member schedules, and responding to personnel matters as appropriate.)
- Perform monthly financial analysis of key general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and complete reporting of cost incurred-perform analysis of additional follow-up for cost centers with variances to budget or for trends inconsistent with expectations.
- 7 years of experience in a corporate environment with direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong research capabilities, including the ability to investigate issues, compare alternative courses of action and move to decision-making.
- Microsoft Skills (Excel, V-Lookups, Word, etc.)
- Experience in business licensing, law, paralegal, project management, or related field is a bonus
- Worked in a law firm, or has any law experience is a bonus
