Job Description
Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
- Retail operations or other customer facing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design required.
- Develop and organize a wide range of training content based on business need
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of adult learning theory, organizational development, project management and problem solving skills.
- Coordinate multiple activities in an organized and effective manner and to pull resources
together to meet deadlines. - Effectively facilitate live learning events in multiple settings: classroom, conference call, web
conference, etc. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak effectively to
large groups (up to 500 people) and present to key leadership teams. - Strong analytical skills to evaluate and report on the effectiveness of training programs.
- Adept interpersonal and consulting skills and the ability to work as a business partner with all leadership levels within the organization.
- Sales, Service, and Product Learning and Development
- Evolve learning strategy to develop the capabilities of our Team Members in the areas of Sales, Service and Product.
- Develop curriculum to support the enablement of the technical and vocational skills of our Team Members.
- Develop Team Member confidence by equipping them with easy to access and just in time product knowledge learning and support.
- Develop curriculum that allows Team Members to learn 'how to' skills behind selling and legendary service.
- Experience and ability to develop and design learning using a variety of modalities.
- Evaluation and Gap Analysis.
- Execute processes for measuring the results and impact of learning programs and solutions.
- Evaluate and implement strategies to improve delivery and ROI.
- Conduct ongoing gap analysis; recommend and develop solutions based on analysis.
- System Administration. Use the company-wide learning management system to support the execution of learning and development activities.
- Partner Relationships, Manage relevant vendor, faculty (internal and external), and consultant relationships, including contracting
- Ensure tractorization of programs with various faculty/vendors.
- 7+ years’ experience in designing, developing, deploying, facilitating, and evaluating learning and development programs.
- 2-3 years’ experience designing sales, customer service and/or product knowledge training.
- Retail experience preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in Human Resource Development,
- Organizational Development, Adult Education, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
