Market Development Specialist
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to lead & execute dealer network compliance auditing and reporting. Support Market Development team in executing a managed attrition plan and process to develop the optimal dealer network.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project manage dealer terminations from beginning to end, with extreme attention to detail
- Ensure daily and weekly progress on all open termination tasks
- Drive completion of terminations in 60 days or less
- Contact dealerships via phone weekly, updating them on their termination status
- Evaluate and ensure compliance to state law requirements
- Partner closely with internal and external corporate counsel to draft legal letters
- Own and enforce the Minimum Advertised Price policy, ensuring compliance to the policy across our 1300+ dealerships
- Project management for ongoing Market Development team objectives
- Manage the Channel Development Inbox and Become a Dealer Inquiry Inbox
- Thorough and comprehensive understanding of diverse powersports business models & metrics
- Assist with the distribution and track the return of all dealer agreements on a yearly basis.
- Maintains Electronic filing and records management system and other workflow procedures
- Assist Sales Coordinator with dealer activations, data entry, and legal letters as required
- Orchestrate dealer signage order processes, ensuring signage orders are correct and managing/optimizing the relationship with our signage vendor
- Bachelor Degree required in business or an equivalent field, with an emphasis in Sales or Marketing
- Highly organized with attention to detail, self-directed business style, with strong ability to prioritize
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent telephone and e-mail skills
- Negotiating & innate ability at overcoming objections
- Self-confidence, thick skin, & proven track record of success managing highly contentious situations and projects
- 5 years’ relevant sales, account management or customer service experience.
- Strong reading comprehension & proficiency dealing with motor vehicle-related legal terminology and concepts
- Strong computer skills – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Process-oriented, highly regimented, likes structure
- Driven; High energy and aptitude for problem solving
- Field Sales experience
- Powersports products industry knowledge
- Strong understanding of the business and company product knowledge
- An understanding, appreciation and passion for the product & value propositions and key competitors
- Continuously fast-paced corporate office environment
- Location – Bass Creek Facility, Plymouth, MN
- Standard business hours (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm) with some flexibility + opportunities for overtime
