Marketing Manager

Must Haves:
This temporary contractor position will provide critical marketing support during the maternity leave of the Senior Manager and Associate Manager. The primary focus will be on support for new stores (including grand opening events), stores and regions facing competitive pressure or underperformance, and maintaining strong internal relationships with Store Operations and Leadership. This role will also require learning existing marketing team processes and ensuring integration of this work into the rest of the department's workflow whenever possible.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Proven ability to problem-solve and take decisive action in the face of uncertainty. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where tactics and strategies may evolve rapidly.
- Marketing Execution: Strong track record of successfully executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering results.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to contribute to strategy development and proactively expand on existing tactics to align with the latest strategic direction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrated understanding of customer needs and preferences. Able to develop targeted marketing messages that resonate with specific customer segments.
- Process Orientation: Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes and systems. Experience working within established workflows is preferred.
- New Store Support: Collaborate with teams including Store Operations, Real Estate, and Strategy to develop and execute impactful marketing campaigns for new store openings, including grand opening events.
- Underperforming Store/Region Revitalization: Based on performance data and market trends, work with Customer Analytics team to identify root causes of underperformance. Develop and implement targeted marketing tactics to address specific challenges and drive improved results.
- Competitive Pressure Response: Monitor competitive activity and develop proactive marketing strategies to maintain market share and customer loyalty in regions facing heightened competition.
- Internal Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with teams including Store Operations, Real Estate, and Strategy. Actively participate in strategy development and contribute innovative ideas to enhance marketing tactics.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize performance data and customer insights to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Multi-Channel Expertise: Demonstrate a working knowledge of various marketing channels (e.g., digital, social media, direct mail, in-store) and apply this expertise to develop targeted campaigns for specific customer segments.
- Process Integration: Learn and adhere to existing marketing team processes, ensuring seamless integration of work into the department's overall workflow. Strive to achieve a balance of planned and responsive marketing activities (e.g., 80% planned, 20% responsive to unforeseen needs).
