POSITION: Portfolio Finance Manager, Part-time, start date as soon as possible
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA, flexibility to work from home once ramped
THE HEADLINES:
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of portfolio-related financial projects (financial reporting, add-on acquisitions, forecasting, strategic initiatives), operational improvements, and the coordination of post-closing financial integrations. You will work with portfolio executives and the Georgia Oak team to help inform and execute the value creation plans.
The successful candidate will have a good mix of technical accounting expertise, advanced analysis, financial modeling experience, and experience with generating provocative financial reporting packages.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages including KPIs, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis to enhance our strategic decisions regarding our portfolio companies
- Support the finance and accounting functions of portfolio companies by providing financial insight and analysis as well as thought leadership by identifying key areas of improvement and opportunities
- Manage recurring and ad-hoc financial, tax, and legal tasks and reporting requirements by partnering with third party service providers
- Provide regular updates on portfolio companies’ performance and individual investments to Georgia Oak’s investors and prepare capital account statements to Georgia Oak’s investors
- Work with the deal team on buy side due diligence, post-acquisition integration and the sale process
- Develop and implement strategic plans for our portfolio companies
- Collaborate with the portfolio management team to build infrastructure to support growth
- Implement tools to capture accurate, real time data for decision making
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in FP&A, transaction services, corporate finance, audit, or consulting
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts and industry trends
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting methods and ability to apply that expertise to business scenarios
- Candidates must be a self-starter and motivated, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work both independently and within teams. Attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to solve complex problems through solutions-oriented analyses, or be able to connect the dots
