Job Description
The IT Program Governance project management team consists of 8 Project Managers. Project Managers primarily work independently of each other with their respective project teams.
Day to Day:
Core project management activities include developing and maintaining the project plan/schedule, hosting meetings and taking/distributing notes and action items, maintaining project governance adherence, managing risks and issues, and facilitating collaboration and communication with the project team and stakeholders. This role will work closely with their project teams and project stakeholders. Top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months is to learn about assigned project(s), how project work is executed at the Bank (IT Governance), get to know the project team and stakeholders and begin building a plan of action. Keeping the project team aligned to the plan and proactively identifying and mitigating project risks and issues.
Top 3 Must-Haves (Hard and/or Soft Skills):
- Core project management skill set. Be able to build a plan and manage to the plan. Know the project phases and inputs and outputs.
- Leadership skills. Be able to position yourself as the central point of contact and coordination for the project.
- Concise and accurate communication
- Familiarity with Smartsheet
- Experience with implementation of vendor-hosted solutions.
- 4-year degree preferred
- PMP preferred
- 5+ in an IT Project Management role
Pay Rate $86.08 - $88.08 per hour
