Public Relations Coordinator
Job Description
Day to Day:
- This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in media relations, content creation, event support, and project management, working closely with the Director of Public Relations and cross-functional partners.
- Draft press materials including releases, media alerts, and briefing documents.
- Assist with proactive media outreach and respond to journalist inquiries.
- Create and edit PowerPoints and presentations for multiple levels of the organization.
- Draft LinkedIn copy and support with various social media requests.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports summarizing brand mentions, trends, and PR campaign performance.
- Respond to a wide variety of requests for information, policies and procedures, and executive action.
- Support SVP, Investor & Public Relations and direct team on ad hoc requests for PowerPoint / graphics.
- Coordinate event participation, planning, and logistics.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for PR events, sponsorships, and community initiatives.
- Coordinate vendor and agency partners to ensure successful execution of campaigns.
- Track deliverables, timelines, and budgets under the direction of the Director, PR.
Must Haves:
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in public relations or related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Other knowledge, skills or abilities:
- High degree of tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Works well as part of a team or independently.
- Strong computer skills required. Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Powerpoint
- Ability to prioritize and work diligently in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate $34.48 - $35.71
