Job Description
Summary
Our client seeks to hire a contractor in the proposal team who will be responsible for developing Quotations and obtain Insurance Certificates for Sensus businesses. The candidate will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries and requests for quotations (RFQ) for the water and electricity industries, as well as responsible for reviewing Certificate of Insurance requests for completeness and interfacing with the contracted third-party insurance companies to obtain the certificates.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Sales Quote Request in Salesforce Quote Queue Develop the Quotation in our MRP system (BPCS)
- Ability to work with Excel Sheets (Cost worksheet) to run profit margins and complete analysis.
- Request new part numbers for items not currently in the MRP system using price books to verify correct configurators and list price.
- Elevate and communicate quote requests that don’t meet profit margins according to company policy.
- Ability to communicate with sales for incorrect or incomplete information via a Salesforce task, email, or phone call.
- Enters quotes information into an MRP system (BPCS) and Salesforce system and logs pertinent information.
- Monitors progress of activities to assure a timely response.
- Completes Certificates of Insurance request and monitors for timely response.
- Work with subject matter experts, attend training and participate in status meetings to become familiar with product technologies.
- Work quickly and independently with minimum supervision.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, experience with Salesforce and BPCS experience preferred.
- Ability to be trained in usage of various systems.
- Highly motivated individual Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Experience in, or familiarity with utility industry a plus
- Well organized, detail oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks and quotes simultaneously and accurately.
- Ability to analysis cost margins on quoted items
- Good knowledge of best practices within own area of expertise, integrates with others.
- Impacts a range of activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies.
- Solve problems using existing solutions.
- Exercise good judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple quotes.
- Excellent responsiveness and customer focus.
- Associate or bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in managing and developing quotes in the water and electric meter industry.
- Utility industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Percent of Travel: 10% or Less
