Description
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer in all aspects of the firm, including accounting, financial reporting, transaction processing, office administration and special projects. The Senior Accountant will be accountable for meeting financial, audit, tax and reporting deadlines. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will have the opportunity to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Specific responsibilities will include:
General
- Maintenance of books and records for all entities
- Accounts Payable including recording of Vendor invoices and payments;
- Accounts Receivable including recording of Customer invoices and payments;
- Process all transactions including General Ledger and Depreciation;
- Daily Cash and Credit Card Reconciliation and Cash Flow projections;
- Assist in Financial Reporting and Analytics;
- Maintain Historical financial statements and cash flows (all entities); and
- Assist CFO in special projects.
Office Management
- General Office Management;
- HR Onboarding, Termination and HR Manual;
- Benefits Administration;
- Office Equipment and Supplies;
- IT Services liaison; and
- Vendor Management.
Management Company
- Maintain Systems and Applications (Intralinks, Viewpoint, Constant Contact, DealCloud and Egnyte);
- Mobile and Other Reimbursements;
- Prepare Payroll, Guaranteed Payments, 401k Deferral, Safe Harbor and Health Savings Account; and
- Prepare 1099-MISC information and entity tax information.
- Monitor and track lines of credit (including principal, interest, fees and renewals);
- Bank line of credit quarterly and annual reporting;
- Bank Repetitive setup and monitoring;
- Prepare Compliance Certificate and Borrowing Base;
- Domestic wire callback and verification;
- Domestic wire entry and approval;
- Line of Credit Advances and Repayments;
- Manage wire limits; and
- Online Banking user management.
Funds
- Notify Fund Administrator of all fund activity;
- Assist in Annual SBA Examinations;
- Assist in Annual Statutory and GAAP Audit;
- Capital Calls, Bank Letter and Distribution Notices;
- Post Investments to Quickbooks and PEF Online (“PEFO”);
- Limited Partner audit confirmations;
- Assist in Quarterly and Annual Limited Partner reporting;
- Maintain investment records, including Principal and Interest Schedules and Realized Proceeds;
- Maintain Processes and Controls;
- Portfolio Company audit confirmations;
- Preparation of Quarterly Financials;
- Reconciliation of books and records, workpapers and financials with Fund Administrator
- Management Fees and Fee Rebates;
- Investor Relations; and
- Maintain Statutory and GAAP valuation policies and processes.
U.S. Small Business Administration (“SBA”)
- Preparation and review of Capital Certificates and Bank Letters;
- Preparation and review of SBA 1031 filings for each investment;
- Preparation of SBA Leverage and Debenture Application, Capital Certificates and Debenture Repayments;
- SBA Forms 480, 652, 1031 and 1031A;
- SBA Reporting (Form 468);
- May be required to complete SBA Regulations class.
Additional Details
The candidate should be comfortable and capable working in a private equity environment and working autonomously and with the Chief Financial Officer. The candidate must have a strong financial background and familiarity with Partnership accounting.
Undergraduate degree and CPA required with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, audit and/or tax. The candidate must have strong analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills. The candidate must have the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment, work independently, prioritize work effectively and meet stringent deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work standards. Key skills for this position include strong attention to detail, desire to learn and solid PC skills (especially MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
This is a long-term career opportunity with tremendous upside given the firm's fund dynamics and current size.
Base Salary $115,000-$120,000 + bonus. Final determination of salary will be based on an evaluation of experience, education, budget, etc.
