Job Description
This position is remote, but candidates must live near a company office in Charlotte, NC or Columbus, OH. Secondary locations are Cincinnati, OH or Raleigh, NC.
Summary:
Lead the daily sales generation activities in the Workplace division by building and maintaining a network of interested buyers for the client's design services. Collaborate closely with the Workplace Market Leader, Client Leaders and Marketing Support in the execution of elements of the Workplace Market Plan in order to drive sales growth and achieve other strategic objectives as defined by the Market Leader. Collaborate with the Market Leader and Director of Marketing to develop and deliver a fully integrated marketing outreach strategy that is consistent with the Workplace Market Strategic Plan.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in corporate real estate, workplace design, or similar
- Proven track record of success in business development and sales of professional services
- Experience in responding to requests for qualifications and proposals
- Demonstrated ability to build professional networks.

Expectations:
- Daily and weekly sales generation efforts in order to build relationships with external business partners, expand network, uncover leads, and generate sales opportunities for the team. A typical week includes a minimum of 60 conversations with clients and prospects.
- Adopt and adhere to the Sandler sales process.
- Maintain the Workplace CRM system.
- Work in tandem with the Workplace Market Leader and Client Leaders to enable them to meet their established sales goals by providing the appropriate level of sales support (lead generation, prospect research, collateral materials, direct communications), support services (development of proposals and presentations), and administration (coordination and scheduling of meetings for the Market and Client Leaders)
- Partner with the Workplace Market Leader to identify relevant industry trends and work to position the company as a thought leader in the industry by building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and gatekeepers.
- Organize and coordinate a series of quarterly roundtables with end users.
- Identify outlets for Workplace thought leadership. Position the firm and build necessary relationships and ensure the company maintains a regular presence at industry events through speaking engagements.
- Improve industry awareness of firm’s Workplace capabilities. Collaborate with Marketing Director to develop external communications (website, social media, public relations, design awards, brand positioning and identity).
- Work closely with the Workplace Market Leader to achieve the annual Strategic Positioning and Sales goals.
- Support firm growth initiatives (new locations, markets, services, capabilities) through market research and related tasks.
